She's a Wonder...

Another incredibly awesome "cold open" from Batman: The Brave And The Bold - this time featuring the amazing amazon, Wonder Woman, in her classic costume... and accompanied by her original 70's TV theme music!

I'm collecting The Brave And The Bold cartoon on DVD, and I'm going to really miss it when it's gone. The creators of the show - unlike the cynical jokers currently in charge of DC Comics, who just published a comic book with Catwoman and Batman having sex actually on-panel- remember that super-hero stories are supposed to be good-spirited fun.

I loved hearing them pull out the TV theme song.

And with all the cgi technology at our command, the best we could do was that recent pitiful live-action Wonder Woman pilot?
A sequence like THAT (minus Batman) would've made a helluva live-action episode climax!

Just WONDERful.

Another example why the WB Animation writers should have been in charge of any relaunch.

Brave and The Bold has become one of my favorite shows in cartoon land. I love the jaunt through the obscured corners of the DC universe.

I think the WB animation writers should be in charge of DC Comics period. They couldn't do worse than the cynical Hollywood loving, Stage Door Johnnys currently running the company.

Pretty cool. And agreed 100% about the comics not getting the whole "comics are fun" thing. I know, I know, they can be serious... but the latest stuff from DC is just grim and trashy junk. If I had a kid I would not want him/her reading that stuff. I don't even want ME reading it! The animation guys are always kicking their butts in every way.

That was totally awesome! The "Wonder Woman Theme Music mad a great sequence even more fantastic.

How can these guys so totally understand how to write good superhero comics while the guys actually putting out the comics flounder in the muck and mire of tawdry-ism?
