Here's the cover to one of my favorite comics ever – Detective 443, which wrapped up Archie Goodwin and Walt Simonson's legendary Manhunter run of back-up adventures with an explosive team-up with the title's lead hero, Batman. Best of all, my favorite Bat-artist of the era, Jim Aparo, drew the cover. Man, I love his lithe, dangerous-looking Batman!The rest of the 100-page issue was filled out with awesome Golden Age reprints and new Robin and Creeper tales. Damn, comics used to be so cool!

Jim Aparo knew how to draw a Batman that could move in true sequential art. His fight scenes were incredible. Mr. Aparo's work on 10 Nights of the KGBeast should required study for any would be artist.
