Wednesday Cover: Frankenstein

A couple weeks ago, I shared the cover of Dell Comics' attempt to turn Dracula into a costumed super hero. Well, here's its inevitable companion title – Frankenstein – featuring the muscular, emerald-skinned cadaver in combat against the villainous Mr. Freek!

Doesn't look quite as bad as the Dracula comic.

Big Bang published an issue with SuperFrankenstein, which was much the same concept, only better done, I think.

This post and the last just gave me a brilliant idea ...

A wheelchair-bound scientist and his Puerto Rican ex-New York cop assistant travel to the Arctic, where they revive Frankenstein's creation with the intention of using the monster as their agent in a war against evil. They figure to control the beast by surgically placing a mechanical implant into his brain that, should the fiend defy them, will give him the sensation of a flaming torch waved angrily before his eyes.

...

Nah. That'd never sell.
