I picked up both that book and Avengers vs the Earth Wrecker around 1970, and was fascinated in the differences between the novel and comics versions of the characters. The other superhero novelizations like Green Hornet in the Infernal Light, Batman vs the Feasome Foursome(a novelization of the 1966 feature) and Batman vs the 3 Villains of Doom were much closer to the source.
