I was never a huge fan of Marvel's Canadian super-team Alpha Flight except in its very earliest days when it was written and drawn by co-creator John Byrne. Byrne has always been a talented artist and has drawn many memorable comic book covers, but this one from AF #3, with it's imaginative and striking visual design, has stuck in my head for over twenty years.

Wednesday Cover: Alpha Flight

I used to have that issue! Back when Marvel comics were fun and actually readable. Nice memories.
I also was a fan of Byrne's work on Alpha Flight and always thought that Puck could have been a much "bigger" star. Sorry for the bad play on words, but you know what I mean, right?
I liked "Alpha Flight" immensely when Byrne was on it, too. Great stuff!
